Thanksgiving Day Football

NFL

The 8-2 Patriots take on the 2-8 Lions on CBS at 12:30. Tom Brady and the Patriots come back Thursday after a big win over the Colts on Sunday to face Calvin Johnson and the Lions. I think the Lions will compete but the Patriots offense is way too good and their defense should be able to shutdown Shaun Hill. I see the Patriots moving on to 9-2 while the lions should drop four straight.

The New Orleans Saints will take on the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington at 4 on Fox. The Cowboys have won two straight under new head coach Jason Garrett and the Saints have hit their stride winning three straight. I think that Drew Brees and the Saints offense will be too tough for the beat-up Dallas secondary to stop. I don’t think the Dallas offense will do awful I just think the Saints will out score them thanks to another big game from Drew Brees.

Bengals take on the Jets at the Meadowlands on Thursday night. The Bengals are coming off of an awful loss to the Bills where they once led 28-7. The Jets are coming off of a win over Houston in which Mark Sanchez hit Santionio Holmes in the corner of the end zone with ten seconds left.  The Bengals have to talent to beat the Jets but I don’t think they’ll be able to put it together as the Jets should win another one Thursday night while the Bengals will continue their miserable season.

NCAA Football

#17 Texas A&M is coming off a huge win over Nebraska Saturday as they take on in state rival the Texas Longhorns. Texas is looking for a chance to make a Bowl game while Texas A&M is trying to beat Texas for the first time since 2007. Texas A&M will be led by running back Cyrus Gray and receiver Jeff Fuller while Quarterback Garrett Gilbert will need to step up for the Longhorns if they want to upset A&M and get Bowl eligible.
