NBA

Andrea Bargnini’s 29 help led the Raptors in an upset over the Celtics 102-101. Nate Robinson, who played in place of the injured Rajon Rondo, had 22 points while Ray Allen and Paul Pierce each added 19 for the Celtics.

Hornets advance to 11-1 on the season as they beat the Kings in a low scoring game 75-71. New Orleans’ David West had a game high 17 points and Chris Paul had 14 assists in the win.

Richard Hamilton had 27 points for the Pistons as they beat the Wizards 115-110 in overtime. Gilbert Arenas had 19 points 16 assists and Javale McGee had 20 points along with 16 boards for the Wizards.

Lakers destroy the Warriors 117-89. Pau Gasol had 28 points for the Lakers and Kobe Bryant added 20 more to help the Lakers get to 12-2 on the season.

NCAA Basketball

Vandy gives #8 North Carolina their second straight loss in Puerto Rico. Vandy was led by John Jenkins who had 16 points and Tyler Zeller led UNC, he had 20 points 10 boards.

#9 Purdue goes to 3-0 on the season as they beat Oakland 82-67. E’Twaun Moore had 26 points and JaJaun Johnson had 25 points and 11 boards for the Boilermakers.

#10 Florida barely beat Morehead St 61-55. Morehead St Center Kenneth Farried had 20 points and 18 boards. Florida’s Erving Walker had a team high 16 points and Chandler Parsons had a double double (13, 11).

#11 Syracuse squeaks past William & Mary 63-60. Kris Joseph had 18 points as the Orange go to 4-0.

#19 Memphis holds on to beat LSU 70-61. Wesley Witherspoon had a game high 20 points for Memphis.

#24 Virginia Tech beats UNC Greensboro 92-70. Malcolm Delaney had a game high 23 points for the Hokies.

Minnesota finishes off a great week as they beat West Virginia 74-70 in Puerto Rico. Al Nolen had 17 points for the Gophers and Casey Mitchell had a game high 27 for the mountaineers.  

Soccer

Macoumba Kandji nets a goal in the 107^th minute as the Colorado Rapids beats FC 2-1 and wins the MLS championship. FC Dallas took an early 1-0 lead but Conor Casey’s goal forced it to Extra time where Kandji’s goal lifted the Rapids to victory.

Carlos Tevez nets two goals and Machester City beat Fulham 4-1.

Diego Forlan had a goal for Athletico Madrid as they beat Real Sociedad 4-2.

Inter Milan loses 2-1 to Chievo Vernona.

NHL

Dustin Byfuglien scores in overtime for the Trashers as they beat the Islanders 2-1.

Redwings beat the Flames 5-4 in overtime off Nicklas Lidstrom’s goal. Jerome Iginla had two goals for the 

Flames and Henrik Zetterberg had two goals for the Redwings.

Devin Dubnyk’s 38 saves help the Oilers beat the Ducks 4-2.

Coyotes beat the Canucks behind two goals from Taylor Pyatt.

NASCAR

Jimmie Johnson wins his 5^th straight Sprint Cup Championship after he finished runner up at Homestead.
