College Football Week 12

#1 Oregon #2 Auburn and #3 TCU all have off weeks but the rest of college football is still going full steam ahead.

#4 Boise plays tonight,Friday, against a tough WAC opponent in Fresno St. Kellen Moore should throw for over 300 yards and the Broncos should still roll in Boise.

#5 LSU takes on a struggling Ole Miss team. LSU will rely on Steven Ridley and the strong LSU defense to win yet another SEC game. Jeremiah Masoli is really the only thing that can stand in the way of the Tigers moving to 10-1. If Masoli has an amazing game then we could possibly see an upset but expect LSU to win at home.

Andrew Luck and the #6 Stanford Cardinal take on California in a Pac-10 match up. California has the talent to match up with the Cardinal but I don't think they will put it all together so expect Stanford to get a W on Saturday on the road.

#7 Wisconsin takes on 7-3 Michigan in Ann Arbor. Don't expect Wisconsin to score another 83 points on Saturday but do expect them to win and move one step closer to a Big Ten championship and the Rose Bowl. John Clay may sit out again but expect James White to have another big day on the ground for the Badgers. If Michigan wants to win they need their defense to step up and for Denard Robinson to have a huge day.

Taylor Martinez leads #8 Nebraska against #19 Texas A&M. Nebraska has been on a role since their loss to Texas and Texas A&M have been climbing up the rankings thanks to the connection between QB Jerrod Johnson and WR Jeff Fuller. They have connected for 923 yards and 11 TD's. Texas A&M's 12th man could be the difference in the one.

#9 Ohio State strolls into Iowa City to take on #20 Iowa in a big ten clash. Ohio State is coming off of a come from behind win over Joe Pa and Penn St while Iowa comes off a bad loss to Northwestern. Ohio State usually struggles in Iowa City but Terrelle Pryor will be key in whether or not Ohio St is still in the Big Ten race after this weekend.

#10 Oklahoma State will try to get closer to clinching the Big 12 south as they take on a struggling Kansas team. Look for Brandon Weeden to hookup with Justin Blackmon several times in this game.

#12 Michigan State takes on a Purdue team that has not looked good this year. Look for Michigan State to spread the ball around and even out the offense and look for Greg Jones and Co. to keep the Purdue offense struggling.

#13 Arkansas goes on the road to face #21 Mississippi State. Look for star quarterback Ryan Mallet to tear apart the Miss St secondary and have Arkansas hold on to get the win on the road.

#14 Oklahoma will try to stay alive in the Big 12 south race this week as they take on a tough Baylor team led by athletic quarterback Robert Griffin. Landry Jones will try and hookup with star receiver Ryan Broyles and DeMarco Murry will try and finish it off on the ground. Look for Oklahoma to win on the road and stay alive in the Big 12 south.

#15 Missouri takes on a sub par Iowa State team that is 4-5. Missouri should be able to air it out early and then rely on their defense and running game to finish off then off.

#16 Virginia Tech takes on #24 Miami in Miami. Tyrod Taylor and the Hokies have been on a roll since losing their first two games of the season. Watch out for the athletic and physical Miami defense to throw Taylor off his game and send the Hokies back home with their first conference loss.

#17 South Carolina, coming off a big win against Florida, takes on Troy in Columbia. Stephen Garcia and Marcus Lattimore should run the show for the Gamecocks offense and the Defense should be able to slow down the Troy offense. Look for the Gamecocks to move to 8-3

#18 Nevada can't over look New Mexico St. this week and be looking forward to Boise the week later. Yes this should be an easy win for Nevada but they still can't be looking ahead. I still say Nevada's running game blows out New Mexico St and they move to 10-1.

#23 Utah is trying to avoid a third straight loss and this one won't be an easy one. Utah takes a San Diego St team that is 7-3 and has a balanced offensive attack. You may see a third straight loss for the once fifth ranked team.

#25 Florida St takes on Maryland. Both teams are 7-3 and looking for an appearance in the ACC title game. Chris Ponder has been struggling this season but look for him to have a solid game and help lead Florida St to a win in college Park.
