Team of the Week:
Texas Longhorns

Others teams....
UConn: The Huskies knocked of #7 Villanova thanks to a buzzer beater by Kemba Walker and finished it off with a huge win over Tennessee on the road. If Texas hadn't beat two top 10 teams UConn would have been the team of the week.
Xavier: The Muskies are getting back into their usual form. After a terrible non conference schedule record Xavier has started out 5-0 in the A10 and they got wins over Temple and St. Bonaventure this week. All the other A10 teams should be looking out.
Ohio St: Many expected that the Buckeyes wouldn't keep their #1 ranking for a week but they proved the doubters wrong. The Buckeyes got a win over Iowa and came back on the road to beat a Top 25 Illinois squad.
Alabama: The Crimson Tide pulled off a huge upset Tuesday night with a win over #12 Kentucky and then beat in state rival Auburn on the road. The Crimson Tide are now atop the SEC West with a 4-1 record.
Santa Clara: Little known Santa Clara could be a threat out of the WAC. The Broncos knocked off powerhouse Gonzaga and also got the best of Portland in the same week, two of the top three teams in the league.
Player of the Week

The freshman continued his tremendous season helping #1 Ohio St come from behind to beat #22 Illinois on the road. Sullinger finished the game with 27 points and 16 huge rebounds and played all 40 minutes of the game. Every time the Illini would go on a run they'd hit Sullinger in the post and he'd have an answer. This freshman is becoming a major candidate for the Naismith award at the end of the season. Sullinger also had 13 points and 9 rebounds in the Buckeyes big win over Iowa earlier in the week.
Others...
Kevin Foster (Santa Clara): The sophomore guard led the Broncos to one of their best weeks in school history. He was on fire in the Gonzaga game draining 6 three's and ended the game with a career high 36 points. He was the offensive spark for the Broncos and even had 11 straight points in that game. He followed up his 36 point performance with 19 points vs Portland.
Jimmer Fredette (BYU): The nations leading scorer added another impressive game to his resume. The guard had 42 points for the Cougars in a 94-85 win over Colorado St.
Derrick Williams (Arizona): The Sophomore forward got another doubled double, third straight, in a win over Washington St. Williams scored 17 points and grabbed an amazing 19 rebounds in the win.
